It renders at 48kHz stereo with the cleanest instrument separation of the major music generators — exactly what film, advertising and brand work need: tracks that hold up under professional mixing and mastering rather than just sounding good on a phone. It supports native stem export and tracks up to roughly 15 minutes.
On licensing, Udio settled with Universal (UMG) and Warner (WMG) in late 2025, giving it a somewhat cleaner story than before — though the picture is still incomplete.
The big caveat in 2026 is access: during its Universal settlement Udio suspended downloads/exports, turning the product into a “walled garden” where you can generate and stream but not always export. Verify current export status before committing. Against Suno, it’s a slower path from prompt to finished song with a smaller community — pick it when the deliverable is a high-fidelity track meant for serious production.
