Suno v5.5 (March 2026) is the market leader for complete songs. Type a description — style, mood, theme — or supply your own lyrics, and it returns a finished track with natural-sounding vocals, real song structure (verse, chorus, bridge, outro) and automatic mixing, across 30+ genres, usually in under a minute. It holds the top spot on community ELO rankings (~1,293), and v5.5 added voice cloning and personal fine-tunes.
Its breadth and ease of use are hard to beat, and tracks can run up to eight minutes — ideal for exploring many variations to find the right one.
Two limits matter. There is no official public API, and following Suno’s settlement with Warner, downloads moved to paid-only; its commercial-use clearance remains the legally looser “commercial rights” rather than the licensed-data guarantee ElevenLabs Music offers, with the Sony lawsuit still unresolved. For personal projects and creator content, it’s still the fastest path to a great song.
